We’ve joined the blogging world!
Today I read the blog of a mother whose baby was taken from her and put in foster care because a visit to the doctor for a small concern turned into a nightmare for the couple. What a journey ahead that couple has. Right now they are focused on getting their 6 week old infant back in their arms but as they blog about this journey, God is surely to be glorified in these horrific circumstances even though at this point no one on this earth can possibly imagine how God will make good come from this.
In the past several weeks I have read the blogs of two families that were in the process of adoption. One family blogged their journey to Ethiopia to bring home their baby daughter. What an awesome privilege it was to the friends and family of that couple to be able to journey with them to Ethiopia through the blogs that were written almost daily.
The other family is adopting 4 children ages 8 and older, I believe, from the Ukraine. This blog is a beautiful testimony to anyone that reads it of God’s love. Here are a couple who have desired a child for many years and are finally almost at the point of bringing their children home. But their journey has been anything but easy. They have struggled with gaining the trust of these children all the while knowing God is at work at making the 6 of them a family.
And so I guess you could say I have been inspired to create my own blog. What a wonderful place for God to be glorified as you journey through life together with people on the ups and especially, the downs, of life. Blogging is a good way for people to stay connected. And with so many friends and family scattered everywhere, I thought a blog would be a good place to keep people informed about what God is up to in the life of Dave & Elaine.
And so I invite you to journey with us. As for everything to come on this blog…TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!
