I put my daughter in her room and put the babygate up. Been doing it since she was about 13 months or so... It was hard at first, but now she knows when it's time (I do it at 11 everyday for 1 hour) and she goes on her own and plays by herself. It's so cute! And I also give her plenty of time that I go and play with her... Starting IP was hard, she would stand at the baby gate and scream! So I had to show her and teach her that it was ok to play alone. And I had to learn to ignore the cries. :( It got easier and now it's a piece of cake! :) You'll do great and it's good for her!!! Ok that's my novel. :) Glad to see a post finally!
