We succeeded in getting a few poses that did not require anyone to be looking at the camera or that did not involved all four members to be simultaneously cooperating at the same exact moment.
Here’s a few shots Wesley got, along with some outtakes that are pretty hilarious:
I love this one.
We were trying to recreate a picture from a previous shoot with just Little Bug. Sweet Pea would not play with her sister and did not want to touch the sand!
This one was great too. Just needs some slight editing of the photographer’s shadow!
Our feet were cooperative!
Love this of Sweet Pea with her Daddy!
There are actually a few more that are pretty good, but I can’t post them here for privacy reasons. (The location is too obvious.)
And now for the outtakes. This is what we were dealing with yesterday!!
What in the world?!?!
This one cracks me up!!
As does this one.
I wasn’t making stuff up when I said we were dealing with rolling in the sand….
I debated if this was really an outtake because it’s so cute. Sweet Pea does NOT like the sand!
We will still shoot with our photographer probably in February but at least we are giving Wesley some practice and we even got some shots that will definitely be framed and displayed in our home!
Even though Little Bug was NOT cooperating for these pictures, we ended up with some decent pictures of both girls as well.
Well, if 4 weeks old counts as “newborn”, that is.
Tuesday I realized Sweet Pea is going to be ONE MONTH OLD this week and … I had not yet done her Newborn Photoshoot!
So the next day we went and had that done!
She isn’t the peaceful sleeping newborn you always think of when you think of a newborn photoshoot, but considering we were in and out of the hospital for the first 3 weeks of her life, this is her newborn shoot and …
I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
And, an extra bonus …
… a perfect picture of my two miracles together!
This is one of our favorites from the photo shoot.
We did our engagement pictures on the beach as well in 2006. I wanted to re-create a similar shot we got from engagement pictures of our family of three.
I wanted us to be kissing like we are in the picture above and I wanted Little Bug to be off doing her own thing in the background.
Just before this picture was snapped, Little Bug was off playing in the background.
But then, a helicopter flew overhead and it scared her!
She ran to her daddy and our awesome photographer snapped that priceless picture!
If these pictures don’t show just how much Little Bug is loved and adored by her family members, I don’t know what will!
Little Bug and her Uncle Wesley
Little Bug and her Grandma and Grandpa
Love … pure love!

We LOVE our baby girl!
SO, SO MUCH!!!
